BRANDING IS...
A brand goes so much deeper than a logo, color swatches and a few incredible fonts. While these are impactful and important elements, they are not the only things that create a brand's identity. A brand is a story. It's the way you connect with your audience & how you show up in the world. It's how you relate, provide information and
evoke the emotion that started the pursuit of the brand in the first place.
It's how you showcase your passion and deliver it to the world.
The following is a presentation I compiled to assist in the intricacies of communicating a brand amongst content creators, primarily focused on building brand passion and ownership within a creative team. My experience building brands in a remote setting with associates that span continents has taught me the value of communication, and I strive to create awareness around the importance of driving a brand from an informed, unified and passionate space.

HOW I CAN HELP
The depth of Krista's branding knowledge comes from working with a team to build multiple brands from the ground up. She has the unique experience of developing nearly every aspect of a brand - the products, advertising, storefronts, photo edits, packaging, brand guide, voice, catalogs and more. Her skillset allows her to start at the foundation of the brand, creating and refining within the needs of the story as it evolves. Let's discuss your unique brand and how Krista can assist in guiding its impact.
Below is a sample of the development of Sloosh, a sub brand of Joyin, Inc. Aside from the logo, this brand was an empty book, waiting for the pages of its story to be written. The artwork below was designed by DreamBox Art in collaboration with the awesome team at Joyin.
BRAND DEVELOPMENT
While a brand is in it's infancy, it is crucial to gather all existing assets within the realm of the brand. In this case, there was a logo, a handful of scattered products and their packaging designs, and a desire to create a simplistic and fun brand for summer playtime products. We began exploration with high vibe summer colors and graphics, and applied them to different branding content to see how they felt with the brand story. Here are some samples from the process.
BRAND GUIDE
After much discussion, development and trial and error, we worked to develop a branding bible that represented the look and feel of Sloosh. This guide is then passed along to designers to assist in making creative decisions within the brand parameters. As the primary artist in making creative decisions for the brand, this is a brain child of DreamBox and was so fun to develop and intricate. Click to see the entire guide.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Illustration is a deep passion of mine, so developing products for the brand I was developing was a beautiful harmony - a true blessing from a design work standpoint. Below were developed for the Sloosh brand with product managers within the Joyin development team. We wanted to create a chill, high vibration summer brand, and these products are my interpretation of that.

PACKAGING TEMPLATES
After working with the marketing and product development teams, it was time for a revamp of the packaging. We wanted to create something simplistic and beautiful that delivered the product information in an easy way. After all, the brand's focus is summer fun, and there is nothing complicated about that. We streamlined the packaging and developed over 20 templates including badges and .psd files to easily mock up the product photography that covered the extent of the product lines. They can be passed along to any artist to quickly achieve the desired aesthetics of the brand.

PATTERN DESIGN
While working through the look and feel of the packaging, we began to develop fun vector patterns to match each brand category. These patterns have since been implemented throughout the brand and have proven to be a handy marketing tool for quick, simplistic branding.
PRODUCT CATALOG
After a majority of the branding elements were complete, we moved forward with designing a product catalog. Below is an in progress version of the catalog. Finalization is in the works.
STOREFRONT DEVELOPMENT
Unifying storefront elements was also very crucial for this e-commerce brand. Here is one example of the work we did to make the storefront fit the brand.
